OSU Quilt

I am working on some OSU quilts for the Backwoods Fest. Some people might not know this, but the block o is trademarked. You have to be careful when making something Ohio State-ish to sell. If it has a block O or a buckeye leaf on it, it can be considered trademark infringement.

I saw a quilt once before that looked like this. I thought it was awesome!

My quilt holder was napping in his chair. He whined and grunted about holding up my quilt top. Note the crooked not smoothed out and can't see all of the quilt! Oh Mr. Midnight - be nice to the lady who makes your bedding! I know where you sleep!

Can you see the very subtle block O?

I'm wondering if I should use the same gray on the inside that I used on the outside? Hmmm, what do you think? Maybe a white fabric? I think I also need to take the red/white fabrics out and just use the darker red squares. Any thoughts on the subject?

  1. It's fabulous Jennifer! I had no idea that the O was trademarked. I would do the center the same as the outside; and I love all the shades of red.
